Dairy-Free 2-Ingredient Caramel Apples

Nothing says fall quite like homemade caramel apples! These Dairy-Free Caramel Apples are made with a rich, creamy coconut caramel using just two simple ingredients: Let's Do Organic® Organic Heavy Coconut Cream and coconut sugar. No butter, heavy cream, or corn syrup needed!

The caramel simmers into a thick, glossy sauce that's perfect for dipping crisp Granny Smith apples. Roll them in chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or your favorite toppings for a fun fall treat that's completely dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free!

Whether you're making them for a Halloween party, a fall gathering, or a cozy afternoon at home, these homemade caramel apples are sure to be a hit.

Instrutions:

  1. Combine the coconut cream and coconut sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes whisking occasionally. It should be darker, thick, glossy, and easily coat the back of a spoon.
  2. Transfer to a heat-proof bowl, and cool to room temperature before coating your apples. If the caramel separates at all, a quick whisk will bring it back to a smooth glossy consistency.
  3. Dip each apple in the cooled caramel and then a roll in chopped nuts (or chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc.) Refrigerate until the caramel is set, then enjoy! by @feastingonfruit
