Salted Double Dark Chocolate Magic Shell

Salted Double Dark Chocolate Magic Shell

What's better on a hot summer day than a cold bowl of ice cream topped with magic shell? We're bringing you Salted Double Dark Chocolate Magic Shell that is actually healthy! Made with Native Forest 100% Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil by Nyssa's Kitchen
Look at that delicious chocolate shell! The coconut oil allows it to harden just like the original thing!

It (almost) looks too good to eat.

Top the chocolate shell with flakey sea salt for an extra added finish.

And watch that stuff crack like perfectly healthy magic shell or top it on a delicious ice cream cone!

*Makes about 3/4 cup
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup or about 3 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Native Forest Organic Coconut Oil
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salty
  • flaky sea salt for finishing
Instructions:
  1. In a heat proof bowl, melt dark chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth. You can do this in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stopping to stir in between, or in a double boiler on the stove top.
  2. Once fully melted, whisk in sifted cacao powder, vanilla, and sea salt until no more lumps remain. The cacao powder will stir into the melty chocolate more easily if sifted, but if you don’t have a fine mesh strainer, just stir a little more thoroughly & make sure no clumps of cacao remain before serving!
  3. Allow the magic shell to cool just enough to slightly thicken before serving.
  4. Drizzle and dip your way into homemade double dark chocolate magic shell nirvana!
